Crystal Palace achieve the Club Mark Award

Crystal Palace Club Mark

Crystal Palace Weightlifting Club, London has been awarded the Clubmark certificate at a presentation at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

Those present at the presentation were:
David Gentles – Pro-Active South London, Keith Morgan – Club Chairman, Caroline Charles – Club Secretary, Tony Wallace – GLL Regional Manager Crystal Palace NSC, club members Terry Smith, Mark Middleton, Can Osman and Joanne Calvino.

A Club is awarded the Club Mark for meeting the high quality standards set by Sport England in the following:
The playing of participation programme
Duty of care and child protection
Sports equity and ethics
Club Management


The Club is based at Crystal Palace NSC and became the first weightlifting club to be awarded the certificate. Keith Morgan, the Club Chairman is prepared to help other Clubs who wish to seek the Sport England Club Mark criteria.

 

 

Dorling Kindersley Strength Training Book

 

 

 Dorling Kindersley, the well book publisher have published the new Strength Training - the complete step by step guide to a Stronger, Scultured Body.

 

The book was written in conjunction with BWLA, and the following Coaches contributed to the book; Derek Groves, Phil Nourse, Len Williams, Jim Atkinson and the late Lyndon Johns.
